Welcome to Palmetto Custom Compounding, a compounding only pharmacy. Formerly Prescription Center, Inc. from 1952 until 2009, we opened as a compounding specialty pharmacy in March of 2009. Mel Rauton, R.Ph. joined Prescription Center, Inc. in May of 1996. He became a junior partner in 1999 and purchased the store from Jim Bobo, R.Ph. in January of 2005. Mel had always wanted to own a compounding only pharmacy and thanks to a great offer from a major chain in 2009, he was able to sell Prescription Center and open Palmetto Custom Compounding at the same location on Rutledge Avenue in Charleston, SC. Now we are able to focus all our energies on solving unique patient problems with our compounding. We are eager to work with your physician to come up with a custom therapy or dosage form tailored just for you or your pet. We can compound most types of non-sterile products you may need.
